Probably still bogus, but the point is, the message didn't come from Paypal. This email looks quite official, and hints that you'll be purged from their database and lose pending transactions if you don't respond, but the author probably didn't count on the fact that I'd pull up the headers and do a tracert on the originating IP, which came not from Paypal, but from a Compuserve server offshore. Please simmers-never give out such information, no matter how official it looks. I would be more than happy to forward to them the email which I reference in this scam, and I would not be bothered if this warning is posted on their homepage, as it is a concern for all simmers who purchase payware or anything online.Twice in the past two weeks, I have received a bogus message, purportedly from "Paypal" (an entity I've never done business with), trying to solicit my credit card number and PIN. ![]() ![]() Since many of us purchase FS add-ons, I hope that Avsim grants me leeway and allows this post to stick.
